With it’s striking silver leaves, the Calathea argentea is a beautiful prayer plant with lush leaves. These plants can become fairly large with time and patience.

Prayer plants – in case you were wondering – move their leaves up and down during the day and night. This “folding” motion is where the term prayer plant comes from.

How to grow:

• Medium indirect light.
• Well-draining and well-aerated soil.
• Keep soil moist, but avoid wet soil.
• Calatheas are very sensitive to harsh chemicals. It is recommended to water with filtered water.
• Calatheas thrive in high humidity, but don’t do well with cold drafts.
• Remove excess run-off water from decorative planters and saucers.
